Harbor Physicians offers selected point-of-care testing for patients ages 14 and older. Your physician may also order laboratory work, X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds or other diagnostic studies through an outside laboratory or imaging facility when medically necessary.

Important:
Harbor Physicians does not perform on-site blood draws, PPD testing,
drug testing, X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans or ultrasounds. Pap
specimens collected in the office are sent to an outside laboratory.
Laboratory and imaging orders are provided when clinically
appropriate.

Testing & Diagnostic Services
Our providers use appropriate in-office testing to help evaluate common illnesses and medical concerns quickly. When additional laboratory work or imaging is needed, we coordinate those services through trusted outside facilities.
Rapid Testing
Rapid Flu, COVID-19 and Strep testing can be performed during your visit when clinically appropriate to help guide treatment decisions.
EKG
Electrocardiograms (EKGs) help evaluate heart rhythm abnormalities, chest discomfort, palpitations and other cardiac concerns.
Urinalysis
Urine testing may help evaluate urinary tract infections, kidney concerns, dehydration and other medical conditions.
Women's Health Testing
Pregnancy testing and Pap specimen collection are available when appropriate. Pap specimens are securely sent to a certified laboratory for analysis.
Need additional testing?
If your physician determines that blood work, X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound or other diagnostic studies are needed, we'll provide the appropriate orders and help coordinate your care with trusted local laboratories and imaging centers.

A few current details can help your physician determine which testing may be appropriate and avoid unnecessary duplication.
- Bring your photo identification and insurance card
- Bring prior laboratory or imaging results related to the concern
- Bring relevant hospital or specialist paperwork
- Bring current medication bottles or a pharmacy-generated list when possible
- Tell us where previous testing was completed
